This Privacy Notice explains how PETRONIK FZCO (“PETRONIK”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you visit www.petronik.ae (the “Website”), submit enquiries, request quotations, chat with Sama, or book a call with our team.
We are committed to handling personal data carefully and in line with applicable data protection laws, including the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (“PDPL”) and, where it applies to visitors in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, the GDPR / UK GDPR.

1. Scope of this notice
This notice applies to pages hosted on the Website and to related online tools we operate (contact and RFQ forms, Sama chat / video sessions, book-a-call scheduling, and newsletters if you subscribe). It does not cover third-party websites we may link to. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
2. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Website, we may process:
- Identity & contact details. Name, company name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, job title and country.
- Enquiry & trading details. Product interest, grades, quantities, destination, packaging preferences and other information you provide in forms, chat or calls.
- Meeting details. Preferred call time, time zone and calendar information when you book a meeting.
- Technical & usage data. IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URL and approximate location derived from IP, collected via cookies or similar technologies (including Google Analytics).
- Communication records. Messages you send through chat, email or WhatsApp, and notes needed to follow up on your request.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data (such as health or biometric data) through the Website. Please do not submit such information unless we specifically request it for a lawful purpose.
3. Why we use your data
- Responding to enquiries. To reply to quote requests, product questions and sales follow-ups.
- Providing Website features. To operate Sama, forms, scheduling tools and downloadable catalogues.
- Business operations. To prepare commercial offers, coordinate logistics discussions and maintain customer records.
- Improving the Website. To understand traffic, fix issues and improve content and performance (analytics).
- Legal & security. To protect the Website, prevent misuse and comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases
Where GDPR / UK GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract or steps prior to a contract (your enquiry), our legitimate interests in operating a B2B trading website and responding to commercial requests, consent (where required for certain cookies or marketing), and legal obligation. Under the UAE PDPL we process personal data for the purposes described above in accordance with that law.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies needed for the Website to function, and analytics cookies / similar technologies (including Google Analytics measurement ID G-HQL37ZEQF9) to understand how the Website is used. Analytics providers may process technical data on our behalf. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect Website features.
6. Sharing your data
We may share personal data with:
- Service providers. Hosting, email delivery, analytics, calendar / meeting tools, and AI conversation providers that help us run Sama and Website features — only as needed to perform their services for us.
- Business partners. Where required to progress a legitimate trading enquiry you initiated (for example logistics or supply discussions), under appropriate confidentiality.
- Authorities. When required by law, regulation or to protect our rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. International transfers
PETRONIK is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Service providers or tools we use may process data in other countries. Where required, we take appropriate steps so that transfers are protected in line with applicable law (for example contractual safeguards).
8. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above — typically for the life of an active commercial relationship and a reasonable period afterwards for follow-up, audit and legal requirements — then delete or anonymise it where practicable.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and request data portability. Requests are assessed case by case.

10. Children
The Website is intended for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Website after an update means you acknowledge the revised notice.
